"Wuthering Heights" Show looking For Kids
ONLY LOCAL TALENT WILL BE CONSIDERED. Seeking kids for "Wuthering Heights" show. See the details below. About the project: Actors to play a variety of complex characters. A walking play is an outdoor play where audiences walk to different locations along a set route to watch each scene. Artists in this show should thrive in an environment that encourages interaction and connection, within the cast and with our audiences. Rate: $100 Stipend Includes all rehearsals and shows. Shows canceled for weather/by the arboretum are still paid. All cast members have 2 paid sick days available. Additional info: Rehearsals are on Saturdays and Sundays beginning August 8th at The Morton Arboretum in Lisle, IL. Directors do the best to accommodate agreed upon rehearsal conflicts. Even if you have conflicts with the typical rehearsal times, directors encourage you to submit and let them know about your time constraints, so they can see if accommodation is possible. Shows are Saturdays and Sundays at 4 PM, from September 19th - October 25th at The Morton Arboretum. All roles will be understudied When applying, please submit a monologue of choice, appropriate to the piece; heightened language is preferred. Please note any conflicts.

Mischievous, adventurous, and strong-willed. At her best, she is deeply caring; at her worst, she can be spoiled, selfish, and thoughtless. She quickly forms a close friendship with Heathcliff after he comes to live at Wuthering Heights.
A mysterious orphan brought to Wuthering Heights by Mr. Earnshaw. Resilient, stubborn, and fiercely loyal, Heathcliff is devoted to Cathy and happiest when roaming the moors with her.
Cathy's older brother. Jealous of the attention Heathcliff gets from his father, Hindley often bullies him. (Also plays Hareton Earnshaw)
Hindley's son, raised in ignorance by Heathcliff as an act of revenge against his father. Hareton's rough exterior conceals a fundamentally good nature. (Also plays Young Hindley)
A servant in the Earnshaw household and a childhood companion to Hindley, Cathy, and Heathcliff. Intelligent and kind, but often overlooked. (Also plays Catherine Linton)
The daughter of Cathy Earnshaw and Edgar Linton. She inherits her mother's spirit and determination, along with her father's kindness and capacity for forgiveness. (Also plays Young Nelly)
A pampered, well-behaved boy who lives at neighboring Thrushcross Grange. (Also plays Linton Heathcliff)
The son of Isabella Linton and Heathcliff. Sickly, spoiled, and unhappy, Linton becomes a pawn in his father's schemes for revenge after coming to live with his uncle Edgar and cousin Catherine. (Also plays Young Edgar)
A pampered, sensitive girl who lives at neighboring Thrushcross Grange. (Also plays Young Catherine Linton)
