ONLY LOCAL TALENT WILL BE CONSIDERED. Seeking young talent for "Meet Me in St. Louis" play. See the details below. About the project: In 1903, the Smith family eagerly awaits the upcoming World’s Fair in their hometown of St. Louis. Esther, spirited and lively, falls for John Truitt, singing “The Boy Next Door” to express her longing. Rose handles a complicated long-distance romance, while Agnes and Tootie stir neighborhood mischief. The family’s joy is disrupted when Mr. Smith announces a move to New York City for a promotion. The sisters lead iconic ensemble numbers like “Skip to My Lou” during a lively party and a trip to the World’s Fair site, featuring “The Trolley Song.” On a Christmas Eve, Esther comforts a heartbroken Tootie with “Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas.” Tootie’s grief causes her to destroy her snowmen, breaking Mr. Smith’s resolve. He cancels the move, realizing his family’s happiness lies in St. Louis, to the tune of “Whenever I’m with You.” The show ends with the family’s arrival at the grand opening of the Fair.
