About the project: "Little Miss Dee" tells the powerful story of Danny, a little girl living in a challenging environment, known as Miss Dee. The film chronicles one of the hardest years of school for Miss Dee. Miss Dee has to live through losses, feeling unwanted, being bullied, and adulthood, all while being a good student. Miss Dee learns to voice her struggles and hopes with her writing, ultimately winning a citywide oratory contest that symbolizes her enduring spirit and refusal to be defined by her circumstances.
