Alongside the cunning and resourceful Mrs. Lovett, Todd’s quest spirals into obsession, vengeance, and madness. Widely regarded as one of Stephen Sondheim’s most challenging and rewarding works, Sweeney Todd offers richly layered roles for performers of all backgrounds, with opportunities for powerful acting, dynamic vocal storytelling, and bold ensemble work. An accompanist will be provided. Printed music and sides will be provided at the audition. Sides do not have to be memorized. Actors are encouraged to make their best effort to use an appropriate British accent during auditions.
