Singing Audition for Musical "Mary Poppins Jr."

ONLY LOCAL TALENT WILL BE CONSIDERED. Seeking boys and girls ages 6-16 for musical: "Mary Poppins Jr.". See the details below. Additional information: Rehearsals: September 3 - November 5th Tuesdays & Thursdays: 6pm - 830pm. Saturdays: Oct 3, 17 & Nov 7: 9am-Noon No rehearsals will be held Nov 9-13. Rehearsals will be held in both Spruce Grove and Stony Plain. Production Week: DAILY from Nov 15-21. November 15 (10am-7pm). Nov 16-20 from 6pm-9pm. Nov 21 12pm-9pm. Show Dates: Nov 19, 20, 21 (2 shows). Production week and performances will be at Horizon Stage in Spruce Grove, AB. PLEASE NOTE: If chosen to participate, there is a registration fee required, which is due by July 10, 2026. If needed, financing schedules and payment support are available. AUDITION REQUIREMENTS: ONLY ONE (1) PERFORMER PER TIMESLOT PLEASE. EACH CHILD NEEDS THEIR OWN TIMESLOT - One (1) spoken monologue, approx 30sec-1min. This can be a poem, nursery rhyme, monologue for young performer, bible verse, excerpt from a favourite book, etc. If it is spoken-word and you can perform it with gusto, it will work. Directors ask that the piece is memorized (if possible) and that you bring a copy of the piece to auditions for the directors to read and to have on-hand if the performer needs to refer to it (this will be returned at the end of the audition). - One (1) song, approx 1-2min. This can be any song. Directors will have a bluetooth speaker to connect to if the performer brings a karaoke-style track to sing along with. This can also be performed acapella. Directors ask that you do NOT choose a song from Mary Poppins. They also ask that the song is not from the rap-genre or in a foreign language. Best choice would be to find a song the performer is confident with the lyrics and can perform with or without a backup track. If you're interested, please apply.
