Casting Kids and Teens for "The Little Mermaid" Show
Audition for "The Little Mermaid!" This production is open to all kids and teens ages 10-18. Please see the details below. ONLY LOCAL TALENT WILL BE ACCEPTED. About the project: Journey beneath the waves for a wacky new take on the classic Hans Christian Anderson tale. With the help of a silly sea turtle and snappy seahorse, the little mermaid Angelica battles evil Octavia for the future of the undersea kingdom. Unexpected new surprises combine with a calypso beat and clever comedy for an unforgettable family experience. Additional info: Prior experience is not required to audition, so those without a theatrical resume may list any performing experience, such as church choirs or public speaking. Auditioners should also bring their own sheet music in the preferred key and be prepared to sing a short selection of about 16 measures. A pianist will be provided, but will not be able to transpose sheet music. Auditions with CDs will not be accepted. Those without sheet music will be asked to sing “Happy Birthday” with the accompanist. *For dramas, please prepare a dramatic monologue about one minute in length. “The Little Mermaid” opens Saturday, August 22, 2026, at 7:00 PM and will continue on weekends through September 27, 2026. Performances are Fridays at 7:00 PM, Saturdays at 2:00 PM (except Opening Night) and 7:00 PM, and Sundays at 2:00 PM.
