About the project: Continuing the story of Skye Brooks as she tries to use her gift of singing to make it out the city of Baltimore! Skye is closer than ever to the life she’s always dreamed of after the success of her first mixtape. But as pressure mounts to finish the debut album her new label expects, Skye finds herself pulled in different directions by a promising new love interest, lingering feelings for her missing best friend, and the distractions of rising fame. One of Skye’s new best friends/chosen family in this era. She is the second youngest of the current friend group and has the most bubbly energy. Serena is like the younger sister Skye never had. No matter what’s going on in Skye’s life, good or bad, Serena is always there to help her friend in any way she can. She takes care of capturing Skye’s BTS and is also a background dancer, alongside Raven. Being able to dance is not required, but it would be a bonus.
Dates Skye for a short period of time. Unfortunately, he seems to be more worried about likes and follows than genuinely being with her. He likes to take pictures as proof that they’re together and is very active online, despite not having a following nearly as big as hers.
The YouTube Reporter has the job of reporting on the latest in pop culture. They will use one segment to reintroduce the world to Skye and give the latest updates on her. There might be a little bias because the reporter is also genuinely a fan.
