Looking for performers ages 14 and up for "Ride the Cyclone" Play. Please see the details below. ONLY LOCAL TALENT WILL BE ACCEPTED. About the project: This darkly hilarious and outlandish musical follows six teens whose lives are changed forever after a carnival ride goes terribly wrong. When they awake in limbo, a mechanical fortune teller invites each to tell a story to win a prize like no other -- the chance to return to life. Additional info: Everyone should be prepared to: Sing approx. 32 bars of a song of your choosing. Selections from RIDE THE CYCLONE or in a style similar to the song/role you are auditioning for are encouraged. Everyone should bring: Clearly marked piano/vocal sheet music for an accompanist, or a device with an accompaniment track, you can Bluetooth to the theatre’s speaker. REHEARSALS: Rehearsals begin July 12 or 13 and run through August 12; and will be held Monday-Friday (7-10 PM) and/or Sunday (Time TBA). Not all dates will be used, and not all actors will be called for all rehearsals. A specific schedule based on cast availability will be made after casting. TECH WEEK: Sunday, August 9-Wednesday, August 12 (Sunday: Time TBA, M-W: 6:30-10 PM) IMPORTANT NOTE ABOUT REHEARSALS: Not all actors will rehearse every day. However, the nature of this show does require most actors to be present at most rehearsals. A specific schedule based on actor conflicts will be made after casting.
