The Jackson House is a historic rooming house for black artists, activists, and active soldiers. Since they were not able to stay in the hotels of Tampa due to segregation, the Jackson family fulfilled the need of boarding and transportation. The musical is about the family and the boarders of a particular weekend. Through the events, we get a glimpse of how life might have been for the family and the artists they hosted. Rate: All roles will be paid. Additional info: There will be minimal rehearsal in the month of June, and the performance will be at Stageworks Theater on June 18, 2026.
