Seeking Teens for "Mean Girls" Musical

About the project: Based on the hit Paramount Pictures movie written by Tina Fey, Mean Girls follows teenager Cady Heron as she moves from the African savanna to suburban Illinois, where she navigates the cutthroat world of high school cliques and learns that popularity comes with a price. This high-energy show is packed with dazzling choreography, witty dialogue, catchy pop-infused songs, and plenty of pink. Mean Girls blends comedy and social commentary, exploring friendship, identity, and the ups and downs of fitting in. Additional info: Auditions will include singing as well as movement/dancing, so auditionees should be prepared to be at auditions for a couple of hours on either Saturday or Sunday. Directors are looking to cast some strong dancers as part of our ensemble for specialized choreography (including jazz, contemporary, tap), but not every cast member needs to have advanced dance abilities. All auditionees should be prepared to sing the song selection identified below for the role that they are interested in. Auditionees can be considered for multiple roles, but auditionees should be prepared to sing for one role at open auditions. If time allows, auditionees may be asked to sing for additional roles. Anyone who is interested in auditioning for an ensemble role only (not a principal role) may choose any one of the song selections below and prepare to sing this at open auditions. Note that all auditionees should be prepared to sing a selection. Auditionees should also bring or wear clothes that they can move in. Everyone will participate in either a movement or an advanced dance call. Auditionees may choose which of these best matches their abilities, or auditionees may participate in both if they wish. We are looking to cast some strong dancers as part of our ensemble for specialized choreography (including jazz, contemporary, tap), but not every cast member needs to have advanced dance abilities. Please complete the linked audition form prior to attending your audition. Auditionees will need to list all conflicts between June 7th, 2026, and August 9th, 2026. If an auditionee is asked to return for callbacks for a principal role, callbacks will be held on Monday, June 1st, beginning at 6:00 PM, at Cresson Lake Playhouse, 279 Shapiro Road, Loretto, PA. Callbacks could include further singing, movement/dancing, as well as reading scenes with others, so auditionees should be prepared to be at callbacks for a few hours.
