Kids and Teens Needed for "The Addams Family" Musical

Performers ages 8 and up are invited to audition for "The Addams Family" Musical. Please see the details below. ONLY LOCAL TALENT WILL BE ACCEPTED. Additional info: Children auditioning must be 8 years old or have completed second grade. Doors will open at 5:45 pm. Prepare for your Audition: Please bring a musical theater piece prepared. 32 bar cut from a Modern/Contemporary Musical Theatre song. If you do not have a piece prepared, you will be asked to vocalize to see where your range is. Please do not prepare a song from The Addams Family Musical. Modern/Contemporary Musical Theatre refers to musicals that were produced from the 1990s to the present. Examples include Rent, Legally Blonde, Mean Girls, Shrek, Hamilton, Greatest Showman, Little Mermaid, Something Rotten, Wicked, etc. A Copy of the Audition form can be downloaded and completed in advance, or paper copies will be available at the door. Please arrive early enough to complete your form before your time slot. Please pay special attention to the included conflict calendar to complete as well. Call-backs will be on Thursday, May 28th, if needed. Rehearsals and performances will be held at the RLSD auditorium. A draft of the summer rehearsal schedule is attached. For returning cast members, please note the inclusion of some Friday and weekend dates. The production team may adjust this schedule to accommodate the needs of the production. NEW: A mandatory information meeting kick-off (followed by an optional cast social- snacks will be provided) will be held on Friday, May 29th at 6:00 pm at the RLSD auditorium.
