Young Boy Needed for Musical "The Vinyl Cafe Christmas"

About the musical: The Vinyl Cafe Christmas Musical An NAC English Theatre Production, originally produced by the Citadel Theatre, Edmonton Based on The Vinyl Cafe stories by Stuart McLean; Music by Colleen Dauncey, Lyrics by Akiva Romer-Segal; Book by Georgina Escobar with Jess Milton; Directed by Daryl Cloran. The original cast of the Citadel Theatre’s production will be joined by two local boys, aged 11 – 13, who will share the role of SAM, performing 4 shows/week each. The children will be required for a maximum of 28 hours per week, from November 30 to December 26; they will have to miss some school, and there will be long technical rehearsal days on December 10, 11, 12. The theatre will provide a dedicated supervisor to be with the children at all times. Rate: Union (Non-Union may also apply). UNION RATES APPLY. Additional information: REHEARSALS: November 30 – December 13. PREVIEW: December 14. SHOW DATES: December 15th to 26th, 2026. The performance schedule includes both matinée and evening shows. There are no performances on Christmas Day, but there is a matinee on December 24, and matinee and evening shows on December 26. He’s at that strange stage, like when growth- spurts happen overnight. He's trying not to let it get to him, because he's a nice kid, he's a good kid, and above all he loves his family, but right now he feels like the outcast, and he doesn't exactly know why. SAM must be a strong singer, as he is required to sing solo sections in songs; the role is written for a child whose voice has not changed yet. He must be comfortable with some dance choreography.
