"LITTLE WOMEN: The Broadway Musical" Seeks Teen Girl
Looking for an actress ages 14+ for "LITTLE WOMEN: The Broadway Musical". Please see the details below. ONLY LOCAL TALENT WILL BE ACCEPTED. About the project: Based on Louisa May Alcott's life, Little Women follows the adventures of sisters, Jo, Meg, Beth, and Amy March. Jo is trying to sell her stories for publication, but the publishers are not interested – her friend, Professor Bhaer, tells her that she has to do better and write more from herself. Begrudgingly taking this advice, Jo weaves the story of herself and her sisters and their experience growing up in Civil War America. Additional info: Callbacks, by invitation only, will be held on Saturday, June 20, beginning at 12 pm. PERFORMANCE DATES: (6 total) Friday, October 2 & 9, 2026 at 8 pm Saturday, October 3 & 10, 2026 at 2 pm Sunday, October 4 & 11, 2026 at 2 pm PREPARE: (All materials located in THIS FOLDER) Vocals: Musical selections from the show have been pre-selected per character. Please prepare all songs for the character(s) you wish to audition for. Tutorial videos and tracks are also provided, and these will be the same tracks used at auditions. Reading: You may be asked to read sides as time allows. Sides have been pre-selected per character. Please familiarize yourself with the slides for the character(s) you wish to audition for. Memorization is not required. There will be a reader present in the audition room to read the side with you. Movement: There will NOT be a movement call at initial auditions, but there will be a short movement call for anyone called back. This is not a dance-heavy show, but the production features lots of movement and physical performance. The movement combo will be taught at callbacks to everyone to see how well the movement is received. REHEARSALS: Rehearsals will commence on or around Monday, July 13th, with a read-through, and will be held 2 to 3 times weekly. The second-youngest sister - the peacemaker of the family. (Beth does not have to be so impossibly pure and angelic that she’s flat) but we need to believe that there is a rare, inherent goodness and gentleness in this person. Has a sparkle, and sees the best in everyone. We are open to auditioning teenagers for this role.
