Seeking Dancers for "The Hair Journey" Ballet Show
Looking for dedicated child performers with experience in Jazz, Contemporary, and Ballet, as well as other dance styles rooted in African American culture, such as Tap, Majorette, African-inspired, etc. Please see the details below. ONLY LOCAL TALENT WILL BE ACCEPTED. Rate: Paid. See the character descriptions. Additional info: Rehearsal dates to be determined based on cast availability. Atlanta dancers will need access to the internet and rehearsal space for online rehearsals. There will be limited in-person rehearsals TBD. Tech week: September 21 - 25 (Atlanta may need to travel to Greensboro for these dates.) Dress Rehearsal: October 2 Show date: October 3 If interested, please apply.

The Beads, The Clouds, Weave Kingdom, and The Land of Locs and Fros Inhabitants: Select ensemble cast members will be offered paid contracts and/or stipends based on dance background, experience, and ensemble role. Must have dance training and performance experience in Contemporary, Jazz, or Ballet. African, Hip Hop, Pointe, and Tap dance are a plus! Stipends range from $50 to $250 (paid at the end of the project). Hourly rate ranges $12 - 22/hour (paid monthly).
