About the project: Logline: Following a self-inflicted breakup, a young man spends the summer reflecting on his actions that have had ripple effects beyond his understanding. Genre: (Comedy, Drama, Coming of Age) Rate: Unpaid (Free food, reel deliverables, and IMDB/TMDB credits, though!) Additional info: Union Status: Non-Union Shooting Schedule: Intermittent shooting over the month of July, will schedule around our lead talent's schedules. Filming Location: Colorado Springs Additional Information: This is a folk feature film, meaning it is being entirely made as a hobby project with a very limited cast and crew, made on a VERY low budget. Anyone who can give a natural performance with an emphasis on improv would be wonderful, regardless of experience level. Actors and non-actors alike are welcome. A mostly confident, but aimless and introverted writer. The film is split into three distinct acts, and Tessa is the lead of the third act and co-lead of the second act. Lives a very quiet life, one that is presented as a somewhat aspirational lifestyle to the audience.
A renaissance faire employee with a somewhat disgruntled but nerdy demeanor. Charming when in the presence of those he is most comfortable with, Ben's entire deal in this movie is that he is in a totally normal relationship and throws it away because his girlfriend seemed disinterested in him in a dream. Co-lead of the first and second acts.
A career-driven and charming first year university student, studying experience design. Perceived by Ben as being a distant partner, she's really just going through a stressful period of time. Often switches between appearing as a free spirit in friendships/relationships, but somewhat corporate in professional/academic contexts. Co-lead of the first act.
