"You’re a Good Man, Charlie Brown" Needs Teens

About the project: With charm, wit, and heart, You’re A Good Man, Charlie Brown explores life through the eyes of Charlie Brown and his friends in the Peanuts gang. This revue of songs and vignettes, based on the beloved Charles Schulz comic strip, is the ideal first show for those who would like to do a musical. Musical numbers include “My Blanket and Me,” “The Kite,” “The Baseball Game,” “Little Known Facts,” “Suppertime,” and “Happiness.” Additional info: Requirements: Prepare 32 bars of a musical theatre song (see the attachment for details). You may be asked to demonstrate your vocal range. Sides will be provided for cold readings. Wear comfortable shoes, as you may be asked to learn and perform a brief dance routine. Please note: If needed, virtual callbacks will be held or a video requested. Note: parental permission and ability to transport are required! Important Dates: Rehearsals will begin in late June. Normally, rehearsals run Sunday through Thursday in the evening. Tech week starts the afternoon of Sunday, August 16, continuing the following week in the evenings until opening night. The show will run August 21 – September 6. Performances are on Friday and Saturday at 8:00 PM, Sunday at 2:30 PM. There is a Thursday performance on September 3 at 7:30 PM. An additional co-producer performance may be added. Please make sure to note all conflicts on the audition form. A detailed rehearsal calendar will be provided after the show is cast.
