“Annie” The Musical Searching For Kids and Teens
ONLY LOCAL TALENT WILL BE CONSIDERED. Seeking kids and teens for “Annie” the musical. See the details below. About the project: “Annie,” tells the tale of little orphan Annie, who lives in New York City in the 1930s. It’s a hard knock life being an orphan, especially when your orphanage is run by a woman so overbearing and mean-spirited as Miss Hannigan. Annie dreams of one day being reunited with her mother and father, whom she knows will one day return for her. In the meantime she looks out for her fellow orphans and adopts a stray dog, Sandy, off the street. Just before Christmas, the millionaire industrialist, Oliver Warbucks, wants to invite an orphan to stay with him in his mansion for the holidays. Annie gets the opportunity to see how the other half lives and very quickly comes to the conclusion that she’s going to like it here. When Mr. Warbucks offers to help Annie locate her parents, Miss Hannigan and her no-good brother, Rooster, hatch a plan that will put them on easy street. Additional info: No prior acting experience required and actors will not need to memorize any scenes or dialogue for the audition process. Rehearsals for the musical start the week of June 15. Auditioners should prepare approximately 2 minutes of a vocal audition (a song) that they will perform at the start of the auditions.
