About the project: In 2016, Tim Williams produced a short film, THE COLONEL, a sports/coach drama set at the height of the Vietnam War, about a struggling prep school that hopes to turn its fortunes around by hiring a charismatic Marine to unite its rebellious students. In eighteen minutes, the film glimpsed the Colonel’s transformative skills and attracted acclaim at numerous film festivals, including winning Best Narrative Short and Best Trailer at the 2017 GI Film Festival. In 2021, Williams produced the documentary, THE COLONEL’S PLAYBOOK, told by the Colonel’s students, parents, and fellow teachers, about the impact his leadership continues to have on their lives.
