Kids and Teens Needed for "Anastasia Youth Edition"
Kids ages 8-18 years old are invited to audition for "Anastasia Youth Edition". Please see the details below. ONLY LOCAL TALENT WILL BE ACCEPTED. About the project: Anastasia: The Musical is the spectacular new musical about discovering who you are and defining who you’re meant to be. This 60-minute adaptation of the Broadway hit is specially tailored for young actors. From Tony winners Terrence McNally, Stephen Flaherty, and Lynn Ahrens, creators of such Broadway classics as Ragtime and Once On This Island, this dazzling show transports its audience from the twilight of the Russian Empire to the euphoria of Paris in the 1920s, as a brave young woman sets out to discover the mystery of her past. Pursued by a ruthless Soviet officer determined to silence her, Anya enlists the aid of a dashing con man and a lovable ex-aristocrat. Together, they embark on an epic adventure to help her find home, love, and family. Additional info: To be considered for a named character, you must sing the whole song. If there is a part of the song sung by the group or a different person, just sing the whole song as if it were a solo. If you would prefer to be cast in the ensemble (very busy in this show), you only need to sing. All the audio files are available at the Dropbox link attached. One audio file includes the guide vocals (marked GV) to help you practice; the other is the performance track for your audition. For more information, please download the attachment.
