About the project: Abby is a 14-year-old socially awkward teenager struggling to make connections after a recent move. Against her mother's rules, she downloads a friend-messaging app called "Friendly" and matches with "Tessa, " a girl her age living nearby. As the two bond over weeks of texting, Abby ignores growing red flags, eventually agreeing to a secret in-person meeting that leads to a chilling conclusion. Rate: This is a no-budget production. No one will be getting paid for the role. Non union. Additional information: Production Type: Independent/Student Short Film. Genre: Drama/Thriller/PSA. Filming Location: Burlington/Halton Region, Ontario (Private residences and local parks). Filming Dates: May 23rd or 24th.
