Seeking Youth Actors for "Guys and Dolls" Show

Looking to cast youth actors for the "Guys and Dolls" Show. Please see the details below. ONLY LOCAL TALENT WILL BE ACCEPTED. Additional info: Auditions will be comprised of three parts: Dance, Vocals, and Cold Reads Dance: All auditioners will learn a short dance routine from one of the ensemble numbers of the show. Please come dressed in appropriate clothing and shoes for movement. Callbacks: Those who have indicated interest in being a Lead Dancer may be asked to attend callbacks on May 20th. Vocals: All auditioners are asked to prepare a 1-minute song selection of their choice. You are free to select any song that best showcases your range, style, and confidence. Feel free to be creative! The character breakdown contains ranges for characters to help you in your selection. If you wish to have accompaniment, please bring sheet music or karaoke tracks. Callbacks: Auditioners who are requested for callbacks will be singing selections from the show. Cold Reads: All auditioners will read selections from the script in groups, assigned by the characters indicated on your audition form. This portion of the audition is intended to showcase your unique interpretation of characters, along with stage presence and line delivery. If you have the ability to do relevant accents, such as a gangster New York/Jersey accent, Big Jule’s Chicago accent, you are welcome (but not obligated) to use them. Show Dates: July 23-26th, July 31-Aug 2nd Rehearsals: Rehearsals will begin May 26th with a readthrough and then proceed as follows: From May 26th-June 28th, rehearsals will be Sundays-Thursdays (2-6 Sun, 6:30-9:30 Mon-Thursday) at Columbia Mall. No rehearsals on Friday or Saturday Starting June 28th, rehearsals will be Monday-Friday, 6:30-9:30 If interested, please apply.
