"The Little Mermaid" The Musical In Need Of Young Talent

ONLY LOCAL TALENT WILL BE CONSIDERED. Seeking young talent for "The Little Mermaid" the musical. See the details below. About the project: Ariel, King Triton's youngest daughter, wishes to pursue the human Prince Eric in the world above, bargaining with the evil sea witch, Ursula, to trade her tail for legs. But the bargain is not what it seems, and Ariel needs the help of her colorful friends, Flounder the fish, Scuttle the seagull and Sebastian the crab to restore order under the sea. Additional info: Please prepare 60-90 seconds of a Disney or Disney-style song. You may choose a song from The Little Mermaid if you wish. Bring sheet music marked for accompaniment. If you use your phone for accompaniment/karaoke tracks, you may plug into our speaker, or bring your own. Choose a song that enhances and shows off your singing skills. You will take part in movement or dance auditions, where the choreographer will ask you to learn a few steps, so wear shoes you can dance in. Please no a capella auditions. Within the ensemble, directors need 3-5 seagulls who can tap dance. All auditionees will do a movement audition, but those with tap experience who want to be considered for a seagull or SCUTTLE will have a separate tap audition at the end of audition night. Please plan to stay and bring your tap shoes. COMMITMENT: 11 performances July 24-August 9, 2026. Public shows Thursday, Friday, Saturday (7:00) and Sunday (2:30 matinees).
