The Jackson House is a historic rooming house for black artists, activists and active-soldiers. Since they were not able to stay in the hotels of Tampa due to segregation the Jackson family fulfilled the need of boarding and transportation. The musical is about the family and the boarders of a particular weekend. Through the events we get a glimpse of how life might have been for the family and the artists they hosted.
