Teen Actors Wanted For "In The Heights" Play

About the project: Set in the vibrant neighborhood of Washington Heights, In the Heights tells the story of a community on the brink of change. Full of dynamic music and dance blending hip-hop, salsa, meringue, and soul, the show explores identity, family, home, and what it means to belong. Rate: Roles are unpaid. Additional info: Callbacks (by invitation): Thursday, May 14 & Friday, May 15 – Principal callbacks with sides and vocal selections from the show. Production Dates: July 17 – August 2, 2026 (12 Performances Total) Rehearsals: Rehearsals begin mid May 2026 and continue until opening in Mid-July Typical schedule: Monday – Friday evenings (7:00pm – 10:00pm); as well as some Sundays for some music vocal rehearsals. Tech week will include an 8 hour rehearsal on Saturday July 11 and Sunday July 12. Audition Requirements: – ALL auditioners are expected to participate in the dance call at the start of the evening, and should be prepared to do so. – Prepare 32 bars of a song in the style of the show (strongly encouraged to sing from the show, especially if auditioning for a specific role). – An accompanist will be provided. Please bring clearly marked sheet music in the correct key. A backing track option is also available; if using a track, it must be cued properly and ready to use on your device (Bluetooth speaker will be provided). – Selected vocal cuts from the show will be made available in advance to help auditioners prepare For ore information, please see the attachement.
