Anastasia: The Musical is the spectacular new musical about discovering who you are and defining who you’re meant to be. From Tony winners Terrence McNally, Stephen Flaherty, and Lynn Ahrens, creators of such Broadway classics as Ragtime and Once On This Island, this dazzling show transports its audience from the twilight of the Russian Empire to the euphoria of Paris in the 1920s, as a brave young woman sets out to discover the mystery of her past. Pursued by a ruthless Soviet officer determined to silence her, Anya enlists the aid of a dashing con man and a lovable ex-aristocrat. Together, they embark on an epic adventure to help her find home, love, and family. Additional info: Please note: there is a production fee applied. Callbacks - May 17, 2026 - 6:00 am to 9:00 pm Students must come prepared with 32 bars of sheet music to sing with a live accompanist, a 1-2 minute monologue from a published play to perform, and be prepared to dance. The rambunctious and thoughtful younger version of the Princess Anastasia. Must play innocent, with a fierce passion for her family.
Anastasia’s loving, but strong, father who works to inspire his daughter to lead by example. Needs to be a strong dancer.
Anastasia’s bold and tender mother that help Anastasia recognize the beauty in the world around her. Needs to be a strong dancer.
The adventurous and protective younger version of Dmitry. Must be able to waltz and lift Young Anastasia.
The determined and broken-hearted younger version of Gleb. Must be able to waltz.
The undisputed lead of the show. Anya’s journey is what the show is all about: her bravery, tenacity and perseverance make her the hero of the story, even though she’s also the princess. An innate likeability and natural sense of comedic timing are both helpful for this street-smart lost princess.
The strait-laced Soviet officer with a softer side who is tasked with locating Anya. Though Gleb is the antagonist of the story, in his mind, he’s the hero – he truly believes in the Soviet cause and is doing his best to be a good soldier.
A street urchin turned con artist. Though his career choices aren’t necessarily honest, Dmitry has a heart of gold and ultimately chooses what’s best for Anya, despite what he might want for himself.
A charming, jovial, intelligent character who must be played by an actor with great comic timing. Vlad serves as friend to Dmitry, the trio’s “in” with Lily, and as the buffer between Dmitry and Anya’s budding romance.
Bold and idealistic woman looking trying to see the light in what remains of her home country.
Must have a ton of heart with a kind spirit, and passion for their homeland.
The life of the party! She is the Dowager Empress’s lady-in-waiting, and former royalty herself. She loves everything 1920s Paris has to offer.
Plays various smaller characters throughout the play. Must be strong actors, singers, and dancers capable of transforming quickly as needed.
