Seeking teen performers for "Romeo and Juliet". See the details below. About the project: David Ralphe will be directing Shakespeare's classic, "Romeo & Juliet" for Actors' Repertory Theatre of Simi. Romeo and Juliet is a tragedy about two young lovers from feuding families, the Montagues and Capulets, in Verona. They fall in love instantly, marry secretly, but are torn apart by a violent family feud. . There have been over 30 to more than 50 film and television adaptations of Romeo and Juliet made, spanning from the early 20th century to modern reinterpretations. The son and heir of Montague and Lady Montague. A young man of about 16, Romeo is handsome, intelligent, and sensitive. Though impulsive and immature, his idealism and passion make him an extremely likable character. He lives in the middle of a violent feud between his family and the Capulets, but he is not at all interested in violence. His only interest is love.
The daughter of Capulet and Lady Capulet. A beautiful 13-year-old girl, Juliet begins the play as a naïve child who has thought little about love and marriage, but she grows up quickly upon falling in love with Romeo.
