About the project: A young girl, Alice Spencer, and others take refuge in a London Tube station during World War II. With her, Alice’s best friend Alfred Hallam is suffering from tuberculosis. To help him feel well again Alice attempts to read him their favorite childhood book, Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland, after her book is ripped from its cover from the angry Red Cross Nurse. Alice announces how she doesn’t need the book to tell the story, and then goes on to recite the story by HEART! As she tells the story, other members in the tube station begin to transform into these Wonderland characters. If you are interested, please apply.

Aggressive and tough nurse in her 30’s, yet comedically bold and ready to dominate. With her passive aggressive remarks, she is a powerful and strong character. Must be able to belt, not just in song. Also portrays Queen of Hearts, Magpie, and Ensemble (Mezzo-Soprano/Alto D5-F#3)
Older hard of hearing doctor that fumbles about the chaos of the Underground tubes. Anxious and comedic, while portraying more fearful and shelled off characters in Wonderland. Also portrays King of Hearts, Jabberwock, Duck, Mock Turtle (1) and Ensemble (Baritone G4-C3)
Sassy and flamboyant character. Close with Clarissa, outside and inside Wonderland. Preferably male presenting, but must be ok with cross-dressing drag. Also portrays Duchess, Dodo, Mock Turtle 4, and Ensemble (Baritone/Tenor E4-C3)
Perky upper-class with a little sass female who takes good gentle care of herself. Naivety and resilient. Close with Dodgy, outside and inside Wonderland. Also portrays Queen of Diamonds, Canary, Mock Turtle 3, and Ensemble (Mezzo-Soprano/Alto D5-B3)
A previous war soldier full of riddles, suffering PTSD. Constantly crazed and bi-polar with loud irrational intentions. Must be able to present loud and MAD with every character he portrays! Also portrays Mad Hatter, Pigeon, Mock Turtle 2 and Ensemble (Baritone/Tenor F4-C3)
Younger male presenting character who has been recently orphaned from losing his family in the war. Traumatized, Nigel is jumpier and insanely anxious. In Wonderland, Nigel is more carefree and loose, especially at the tea party. Also portrays Dormouse, Eaglet, and Ensemble (Tenor Bb4-E3)
Chill guy. Has a creepy eerie effect while challenging Alice to explore beyond what she already knows. Must be flexible with stage smoke. Also portrays Caterpillar and Ensemble (Tenor B4-F3)
