Additional info: Spelling Bee rehearsals will be July 13th-26th, around 5pm-10 pm on weekdays, around 12 pm-8 pm on weekends, as well as a few rehearsals earlier in the summer. Tech Rehearsals on Wednesday 7/22 and Thursday 7/23, with potential shows on Friday 7/24 @7pm, Sunday 7/26 @7pm, and a potential understudy show Sunday 7/26 @2pm. Callbacks will be on May 17th Important Note: Due to the limited production time frame, this process will require all actors to be off-book with their music and lines before July rehearsals begin. For this audition, we are requiring one 32-bar cut or 1 minute from a contemporary musical song and a 1-minute monologue from a play or musical, both in the style of the show. A bit of an ADHD kid who is home-schooled with his hippie parents and multiple siblings, he has no self-confidence but a pure heart and soul. Has lucked into being a contestant at ‘the Bee.” (Vocal Range A3-A5)
(pronounced BAR-FAY, he insists): A mess of allergies and tics and perhaps a bit of Asperger’s and no social skills whatsoever, he was a finalist last year and is back. Develops feelings for Olive. (Vocal Range E4-B5)
