Not all actors will be called for every rehearsal. Vocal Range: Tenor (strong pop/rock style) The favored son of Jacob, gifted with prophetic dreams. Honest, resilient, and charismatic. Carries the emotional arc of the show—from naive dreamer to confident leader. Requires strong vocals, stage presence, and emotional range.
Vocal Range: Strong singers (mezzo-soprano/soprano or flexible) The storytellers who guide the audience through the musical. In this version, the role is split between two performers, allowing for vocal variety, harmonies, and dynamic interaction. Must have excellent vocal control and storytelling ability, a strong stage presence and connection with the audience, and the ability to alternate lines smoothly to work as a duo.
Vocal Range: Mixed Joseph’s brothers, unified as a strong ensemble. Must be strong singers with tight harmonies. Require excellent stage presence and group chemistry. May take on featured vocal moments or solos (e.g., style numbers like country, French, etc.) May be assigned additional roles within the show as needed.
Vocal Range: Baritone/Tenor A comedic, Elvis-inspired ruler of Egypt. Charismatic, flamboyant, and commanding. Requires strong comedic timing, confidence, and stylized performance.
Vocal Range: Baritone Joseph’s father. Warm but somewhat biased toward Joseph. Appears primarily in early scenes. Requires grounded acting and presence.
Vocal Range: Baritone A wealthy Egyptian official. Polished and authoritative. Plays into physical comedy during the Potiphar household sequence.
Vocal Range: Mezzo-Soprano (optional singing lines depending on production) A glamorous, seductive, and bold character. Featured dancer with strong jazz/character dance ability. Leads the “Potiphar” sequence with high energy and comedic flair. Also performs as part of the female ensemble throughout the show. Requires confidence, stage presence, and physical storytelling.
Vocal Range: Character roles Prison inmates who interact with Joseph. Provide humor and brief featured moments. May also be part of Ensemble for various scenes
Strong singers and movers. Versatile performers who can shift between styles. Mrs. Potiphar is part of this group when not featured.
Basic singing ability. Enthusiasm and stage presence. Ability to follow direction and participate in group staging.
