Boys Needed for Musical "Big Fish"
Looking for a 8-11 years old boy for the musical "Big Fish". Please see the details below. ONLY LOCAL TALENT WILL BE ACCEPTED. About the project: Based on the novel by Daniel Wallace and the 2003 Tim Burton film, Big Fish follows Edward Bloom, a traveling salesman who lives life to the fullest through fantastical stories that enchant many, except his son, Will, who aims to find the truth behind the tales. NOTE: this is the small cast edition – all actors, except Edward and Will, will play featured roles and serve as ensemble. Rate: $300 stipend for all actors. Additional info: Bring a headshot and resumé. Please prepare 2 songs for initial auditions: 1) 32-48 bar medium/up-tempo song and 2) 16-32 bars of a more lyrical piece. Readings and dance/movement will be done at callbacks. Rehearsals start June 8 and will be Sunday through Thursday evenings with some possible Saturday mornings/afternoons. Tech week is Sunday July 19 through Thursday July 23. Performance schedule listed below. July 24 – August 9 Friday/Saturday 8 pm & Saturday/Sunday 2:30 pm (note – 2 Saturday matinees Aug 1 & Aug 8, no Saturday evening performance August 1) Be prepared to list all conflicts on Sunday through Thursday evenings and Saturday morning/afternoons (Saturday rehearsals are TBD).
