"1776" The Musical Searching For Teen Boy
ONLY LOCAL TALENT WILL BE CONSIDERED. Seeking teen boy for "1776" the musical. See the details below. About the project: Set in the sweltering summer of 1776, this Tony Award-winning musical brings to life the intense, passionate, and often humorous debates that led to the birth of the United States. Told through the eyes of the colorful characters who propelled the dream of a new nation into a reality. These are not the posh and polished partiots from your history book; they are the rum-drinking, name-calling, fly-swatting, cane-swinging patriots of legend As the Continental Congress struggles to break free from British rule, delegate John Adams of Massachusetts pushes relentlessly for independence—despite resistance from fellow delegates who fear the consequences of revolution, and even from supporters who beleive he is too obxoios to be the "face" of American Independence. Nonetheless, the birth of a new nation is his mission! Along the way, he recruits the help of early partiots including America's first celebrity, Benjamin Franklin, and the Virginian Lover himself, Thomas Jefferson. With the help of Franklin’s wit, Jefferson’s eloquence, and cheeky contributions from his crafty wife, Adams works to unite the colonies through any means possible. Blending sharp dialogue, memorable music, and rich historical drama, 1776 captures the courage, compromise, and conviction required to forge a new nation.
