About the project: The story follows Silent Scars is a psychological drama that follows Kendall, a bright but deeply insecure college student who finds herself in her first real relationship with Trey, a charming young man who gives her the attention and affection she has longed for. Afraid to lose the love she’s finally found, Kendall ignores the subtle shifts in Trey’s behavior as his unresolved childhood trauma begins to surface. What starts as warmth and safety slowly turns into manipulation and, eventually, moments of frightening violence. Torn between the love she once believed in and fear, Kendall struggles to find her voice in a relationship and an environment where she feels small and unseen. Rate: This is a deferred-pay/stipend-based project, with compensation contingent on grant funding and crowdfunding, which is currently in progress.
