Additional info: Those planning on auditioning should arrive a few minutes prior to the start time to allow for the completion/review of paper work and to receive group assignments. Auditioners should prepare a solo piece of between 30 to 60 seconds – it can be as simple as “Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star” or something else of your choice. Detailed rehearsal calendars will be given out during the first scheduled cast meeting which will be held on July 29th at 6:30PM at The Glenn Massay Theater. Canine in dog years. Misery loves company, but this peppy new pup refuses to succumb to the Grinch's negativity and pessimism. He is lovable, charming, and always eager to please. He is indefatigably positive and fun. Everything the Grinch tries to destroy, Max catches before it breaks, never tiring of the Grinch's antics. He will need to move well for choreography and stage prat falls and vocally blend well for small ensemble work. Vocal range: Tenor
She is the youngest child of the central Who family. She is the one person with a genuine heart of gold that can find and express love to the Grinch. She is still young enough to be guided by her sense of wonder and empathy and believes in the possibility for goodness in the Grinch. The performer will need to be strong soloist and be able to emote well. She will need to move reasonably well for choreography pieces. Vocal range: Alto
Boo Who Annie Who Donny Who Betty-Lou Who
The remaining actors in the company will play a number of different roles as citizens of Whoville. There are several opportunities to be assigned a speaking line or solo line in some numbers and some ensemble members will have the opportunity to be in multiple scenes. All will assist in singing in the group numbers either on stage or in the wings. All must sing and move well. Specialty dancers will be a part of this group.
