About the project: This classic play opens in a sleepy Alabama town in the midst of the Great Depression. However, the facade of the seemingly peaceful town begins to crack when a young black man is accused of a terrible crime. Additional info: Performed on May 1, 2 and 3 at the Concord City Auditorium. This production includes racially charged language and a false accusation of sexual assault which will not be altered in any way. Any youth under the age of 18 who is considering auditioning will be required to have a permission form completed by a parent/guardian and on file with the director prior to the audition date. A few years older than Scout. Desires to communicate with his father. Like Scout, trying to make sense of the situation and his father’s role in all of it.
About the same age as Jem. Beyond his years. Senses something in Atticus that is lacking in his own family situation.
