About the project: Strength "Beyond Scars" is a drama inspired by true events that follows a young woman who immigrates to the United States in search of safety, stability, and a future as a nurse. After marrying a man who gradually becomes controlling and abusive, she endures years of violence while raising her children and striving to create a better life for them. When the abuse escalates beyond what she can endure, she finds the strength to escape, protect her family, and seek justice through the legal system. As her abuser descends into increasingly dangerous and self-destructive behavior, the story concludes with accountability—and with the woman and her children beginning a new chapter defined by resilience, healing, and hope.
