Kids and Teens Needed for "Seussical The Musical"
Looking for kids ages 9 and up for "Seussical The Musical". Please see the details below. ONLY LOCAL TALENT WILL BE ACCEPTED. About the project: Imagination runs wild as beloved characters from Dr. Seuss’s stories come together in one fantastical tale. At the heart of it all is Horton the Elephant, who discovers a tiny planet of Whos living on a speck of dust. Among them is Jojo, a child with a big imagination who just doesn’t fit the mold. As Horton stands up for the Whos and cares for an abandoned egg, he faces ridicule, danger, and challenge, but never gives up on doing what’s right. Additional info: Please be prepared to sing approximately 1 minute of a song from an upbeat Broadway Musical. Bring your music on an electronic device. No accompanists will be provided. Audition songs are attached to the sign-up link. ACTING – Some of you may be asked to read lines and do some improvisation. SPECIAL SKILLS – If you have special skills such as gymnastics or acrobatics, please let the directors know at auditions. They would love to see these special talents! Beginning March 31, rehearsals will be held Sunday afternoons, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday evenings. You must be available for all tech rehearsals (June 7-11) and performances to be cast. Please bring a list of ALL conflicts with you to auditions.
