This will be an illustrated reading from my book: "Blood of Icarus" and I'm searching for just the right voice for the character of: Luger, the Boy Assassin. I'm looking for a rough-hewn voice of a boy about 12 years of age. He can't sound too young, and he definitely can't sound cute or adorable. The actor attempting him can be older as long as his voice hasn't dropped too much and he sounds like more of a teenager than a tween. Now, since this is a voice only performance, I'll be accepting applications from anyone across the country. I'd prefer a local so I direct him a little more closely, but the right timber and quality of the voice, and the young actor's ability to do a performance read is more vital than proximity.

Kyle Jansen is introduced in the book as a savvy 11 year old foster kid, having been in the system since age 6, after a traumatic experience where his abusive father plunges his small hand into a fireplace, burning it severely. He comes under the care of Bonnell, a former Black Ops interrogator and hit man who uses hypnosis to train the boy as an assassin, thus Luger is born. Eventually he breaks the control of Bonnell, and becomes an assassin for hire in his own right. No longer a puppet.
