Teen Auditions for Musical Production "Next to Normal"

About the project: Next to Normal is a powerful, contemporary rock musical by Brian Yorkey (book and lyrics) and Tom Kitt (music) that explores a suburban family's struggle with the impact of mental illness. Balancing raw emotion with moments of humor and hope, it follows Diana, a mother battling bipolar disorder, and the ripple effects her condition has on her husband, children, and their relationships. Rate: This is a non-union, non-paid theater production. Additional info: Callbacks (by invitation only) Monday, March 16th at 7:00 pm This is a non-equity production. Performance dates are Friday, May 8, through Saturday, June 6, 2026. Friday and Saturday evening performances are at 8:00 pm, and Sunday matinees are at 2:00 pm. Saturday matinees, also at 2:00 pm, will be added on May 16 and continue through the end of the run. There will be no performances over Memorial Day weekend, May 22-24. Note: This show deals with difficult emotional content and contains strong language. Auditioners should prepare 32 bars of a song from a contemporary musical, preferably this show (Next to Normal). Bring sheet music in the correct key; an accompanist will be provided. Please arrive in time to sign in and complete the paperwork during scheduled audition times.
