"Mary Poppins" Musical Needs Kids and Teens

Kids ages 8-18 are welcome to audition for the "Mary Poppins" Musical. Please see the details below. ONLY LOCAL TALENT WILL BE ACCEPTED. About the project: The jack-of-all-trades, Bert, introduces us to England in 1910 and the troubled Banks family. Young Jane and Michael have sent many a nanny packing before Mary Poppins arrives on their doorstep. Using a combination of magic and common sense, she must teach the family members how to value each other again. Mary Poppins takes the children on many magical and memorable adventures, but Jane and Michael aren't the only ones upon whom she has a profound effect. Even grown-ups can learn a lesson or two from the nanny who advises that "Anything can happen if you let it." Additional info: Please prepare a one-minute song from the musical or in the style of the musical. (Optional: Actors may additionally choose to also prepare a one minute monologue from the musical or in the style of the musical). Actors will need to bring their own accompaniment on their phone. Rehearsals: All will be called on Tuesdays from 6-10 pm. Additional rehearsals will be held on Thursdays from 6-10 and Sundays from 1-5 pm (with some occasional Saturdays 9-12 noon instead). Younger actors will be released at 9 pm, with some exceptions.
