Casting 180/360° educational immersive video experience developed for child welfare social work training at San Diego State University. The project examines the role and impact of substance use disorders within families involved in the child welfare system. The narrative centers on a home visit scenario, highlighting the complexities of safety assessment, practitioner bias, and engagement with a family experiencing significant stress. The goal is to present a realistic and nuanced portrayal of family dynamics and professional decision-making, avoiding stereotypes while reflecting the real-world challenges faced by child welfare professionals. Note: Applicants must be comfortable being rigged with 3 pound camera equipment, likely a neck mount or harness with a 360 camera for POV shots. Likely a 1-2 day film shoot in early April (exact schedule TBD ASAP).
