Eleven-year-old Winnie Foster yearns for a life of adventure beyond her white picket fence, but not until she becomes unexpectedly entwined with the Tuck Family does she get more than she could have imagined. When Winnie learns of the magic behind the Tuck’s unending youth, she must fight to protect their secret from those who would do anything for a chance at eternal life. As her adventure unfolds, Winnie faces an extraordinary choice: return to her life, or continue with the Tucks on their infinite journey. Soprano – Winnie Foster is an 11-year old girl in Treegap, New Hampshire. Her father died less than a year previously, and her mother, though loving, is very strict. She is not allowed to leave her front yard. Winnie is, for the most part, a very obedient girl–that is, until she runs away to visit the fair and embarks upon the adventure of a lifetime. When she meets Jesse Tuck, he opens up a magical world of possibility that she never knew existed.
Tenor – Hugo is a fifteen-year-old in Treegap, who often helps Constable Joe with cases. He’s very shy but extremely observant, and is much smarter than he seems. Constable Joe (who is also his father) often uses his ideas and insight in finding Winnie Foster. Hugo’s very lovable, and eventually he goes on to marry Winnie when they are both grown. He and his father are both very suspicious of the Man in the Yellow Suit.
