It introduces the audience to a young "Sam" Washington before she’s known as the world-renowned astrophysicist, Dr. Samaya Washington. This short is an intimate character study that grounds the sci-fi premise in raw human emotion. We're witnessing a pivotal moment in Sam's childhood.
