Jamie realizes abruptly he is a vanilla and boring teen when he is confronted with an essay prompt about being special. When he meets Anne, his whole summer is thrown out of balance and he devotes himself to solving the mystery of Anne’s powers. He is inquisitive, but cautious. Think Dipper from Gravity Falls. Very Type A.
Studious, energetic, and hard working, Stephanie is a model student, but cannot reach her academic dreams while helping her mom with their finances after a rough divorce. Jamie befriends her to assist him with his "experiments" testing the limits of Anne’s powers
