The Pirate Musical "Treasure Island" Needs Paid Teens

ONLY LOCAL TALENT WILL BE ADMITTED. Directors are currently in need of young singers ages 14+ for Pirate Musical "Treasure Island". Please, see the details below. About the musical: When a pirate stays at the Inn that Jim’s mother runs, it sets the stage for the adventure of a lifetime! On Billy Bones’ deathbed, he hands the map to Treasure Island over to Jim. With the help of a bumbling doctor, they set off to find the buried treasure. Along the way, a Motley crew of Pirates posing as innocent crewmates swindles them, but Jim’s kindness melts even the coldest hearts, including that of the tough Long John Silver. With lessons of friendship and sharing, this pantomime based on the classic tale of Treasure Island is sure to have everyone attend part of the fun. Rate: Non union. $2500 (inclusive of rehearsal and show dates). Additional information: Deadline for submissions (self-tape for 1st round) by: Monday, March 23rd, 2026. In-person Callbacks: April 17th- 5:00 p.m- 9:00 p.m. First Table read: May 17th 2:00 p.m.- 5:00 p.m. Music Rehearsals: July 7th , July 8th , July 9th, 5:30pm - 8:30pm. Choreography Rehearsals: July 21st, July 22nd, July 23rd, 5:00pm - 8:30pm. Staging Rehearsals: August 4, 5, 6, 8, 9, 10, 13 (6:00 p.m.-9:00 p.m.). Tech Rehearsals: August 14th-17th (Approximately 11:00 a.m-4:00 p.m). Performance dates: August 19th- 29th Barrie, ON. Two shows each day at 11:00 a.m and 2:00 p.m. Show run length: 1 hour.
