8 roles
A high schooler whose untimely death leaves behind only her brave and adventurous D&D character, Tillius the Paladin.
A high school student who helps guide Agnes through Dungeons and Dragons through the role of Dungeon Master. He is passionate, quirky, sincere, and knowledgeable. His character can best be described as: genuinely dances like no one is watching.
The fierce and loyal Demon Queen and a member of Tilly’s adventuring party. Outside of the game she is Lily, a student whose connection with Tilly is highlighted by her vulnerability and insecurity about her feelings for Tilly.
A skilled and lethal Dark Elf ranger and a member of Tilly’s adventuring party. Her primary traits are her strength and resilience which lend well to an important hidden truth about the real life high schooler Kelly.
A lazy and disenfranchised demon who has lost touch with his fearsome persona, opting for snacks and TV. He serves as the comic touch at many points. In real life he is Ronnie, a former friend of Tilly’s who often acts as the glue between comedy and tragedy.
Vera is a high school guidance counselor and Agnes’s best friend. She is the voice of reason and often the pragmatic perspective who grounds Agnes is her journey. Gabbi is a high school cheerleader and mean girl. She is relentless and a bully, showing up many times to torment Tilly over her sexuality. Both roles are played by the same performer.
The narrator is a very Lady Galadirel character who narrates our show to the audience through a mystical presence. Farrah is a woodland fairy who appears deceptively innocent but is more than capable of breaking your arm if you look at her the wrong way. Tina is a high school cheerleader and mean girl who bullies Tilly throughout the play about her sexuality. All three roles are played by the same performer.
A poor hero who comes in many times to help in the adventure, only to meet a quick and unfortunate death. His comedic presence serves as a representation of the absurd and playful core of Dungeons & Dragons.
