"Newsies Jr." Musical Needs Teens

Grades 6-9 are invited to audition for "Newsies Jr." Musical. Please see the details below. ONLY LOCAL TALENT WILL BE ACCEPTED. About the project: When powerful newspaper publishers raise prices at the newsboys' expense, the charismatic Jack Kelly rallies newsies from across the city to strike against the unfair conditions. Together, the newsies learn that they are stronger united and create a movement to fight for what's right. Additional info: These performers will appear in the songs Brooklyn’s Here, Once and for All, and the Finale. Rehearsals: Rehearsals will begin Saturday, February 21st. Full schedule is listed in the form. Performances: March 6-8. Note that a fee will be applied. When applying, please submit a short video introducing yourself and singing a short selection of a song of your choice.
