Seeking Boys and Girls for "Between the Lines" Show
Looking for talent ages 12 and up for "Between the Lines" Show. Please see the details below. ONLY LOCAL TALENT WILL BE ACCEPTED. About the project: Between the Lines is an empowering and enchanting story for anyone who has struggled to find their place in the world. An outsider in a new town and a new school, Delilah seeks comfort in the pages of her favorite book, where she feels heard and understood by the handsome Prince Oliver. But, as the lines between fantasy and reality begin to blur in extraordinary ways, Delilah realizes her dreams in the real world are worth fighting for. Additional info: Callbacks (if needed) will be held on: Monday, February 23. For auditions: Please submit 16–32 bars of a Broadway song in the style of the show. Directors highly encourage you to use a backing track without vocals for your audition. They do not encourage a cappella auditions. Please note: Directors do not accept any tech week conflicts (this is the week leading up to the show, beginning the Sunday before), show conflicts, or brush-up rehearsal conflicts. Smart, well-read (everything from Dostoevsky to graphic novels). Upended by her parents' bitter divorce, Delilah finds herself in a new school where she goes from being invisible to becoming the target of the most popular girl in school. To escape, she turns to books. Range: E3-F5
A teen internet troll who bullies Delilah through social media posts and is part of Allie's tribe. As Troll, when the fairytale book is being read he is a grunting, monosyllabic monster. When the book is closed, he is an Olivier-esque actor's actor. Also briefly appears as Delilah's Dad and Delivery Person. Range: C3-G4.
