About the project: Sorkin’s groundbreaking debut, set in the summer of 1986, is a gripping courtroom drama about power, loyalty, and truth. The story follows a Navy lawyer, Lieutenant Daniel Kaffee, who is assigned to defend two Marines accused of murder at Guantanamo Bay. During the trial in Washington, DC, Kaffee and his fellow military lawyers uncover a high-level conspiracy designed to eliminate weaker Marines in the name of patriotism.
