About the project: Winner of the Tony Award for Best Book, The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee is a delightful den of comedic genius complete with audience participation in which six awkward spelling champions learn that winning (and losing) isn’t everything. Additional info: PERFORMANCE DATES: June 19, 2026 @ 7:30 PM June 20, 2026 @ 7:30 PM June 21, 2026 @ 2 PM June 26, 2026 @ 7:30 PM June 27, 2026 @ 7:30 PM June 28, 2028 @ 2 PM Auditions, rehearsals, and performances at the Old Hose House Theater Callbacks will be Sunday, February 8, 9:30 AM–1:30 PM. Prepare 32 measures (30–60 seconds) of a musical theatre song in the style of the show, and mark sheet music for accompanist. Following vocal auditions, you may be asked to read from the script. A dance call will be held at callbacks only. Bring completed Audition Form (see the attachment), Rehearsal Conflicts Calendar (see the attachment), sheet music, and headshot and résumé if you have them. Arrive 15 minutes early to complete paperwork, and expect to stay the entire time. Please print the Rehearsal Conflicts Calendar, fill out any conflicts, and bring it with you to your audition. No additional conflicts except for emergencies will be accepted once rehearsals begin. Not everyone will be called for every rehearsal. Dress rehearsals and performances are mandatory for all cast members.
