About the project: Come backstage and experience this innovative take on Shakespeare’s The Taming of the Shrew! In this version, the actors are in rehearsal, preparing for a full production. Get drawn into the rehearsal process, complete with the interpersonal drama and hilarious mishaps that frequent many stage productions, but you never see on stage. All the while enjoying a slightly abridged version of the classic, The Taming of the Shrew. Even if you typically find Shakespeare confusing or boring, you’ll enjoy this production, because some of the actors feel the same way! Additional info: Rehearsals will typically be held from 6:30pm-9:30pm on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays. Occasionally, Saturday rehearsals may be held from 9am-12:00pm. Rehearsals will generally be held in Lindon. Performance dates are Monday, Thursday, Friday, and Saturday evenings at 7:30pm from April 13-25 (8 performances). Call time will be 6:00pm for performances. Performances will be at the Angelus Theatre in Spanish Fork. CALLBACKS: Callbacks are by invitation only. - Date: Friday, Jan 30th 6:30 pm - 9:30 pm. - Preparations: Sides will be emailed to you by the Thursday prior to callbacks. Please come prepared to perform and work the scenes you are assigned. You may also be given sides when you arrive. (Memorization is not required). Directors will also be doing some improvisation.
